RT Infrastructure Solutions (RT-IS) is proud to be taking part in Armed Forces Week this week, in recognition of the incredible services provided by the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.

As part of the week’s celebrations, we’ll be taking part in a Twitter Thunderclap at 11:00 am on Wednesday 21 June to create a virtual sonic boom saluting our service people who deserve it, and also raising Armed Forces flags at our headquarters in. We’ll also be sharing the hashtag #SaluteOurForce across our social channels.

At RT-IS we have a long history of training and developing MOD personnel to become the future generation of UK railway signalling engineers and we are pleased to be able to continue our support of Armed Forces service people through our operations.

RT-IS was also awarded the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award for our ongoing support towards the Armed Forces community. Representing the highest badge of honour, Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards are awarded to those that employ and support those who serve, veterans and their families.

As an organisation, RT-IS is proud to advocate for the benefits of supporting those within the Armed Forces community by encouraging others to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and engage in the Employer Recognition Scheme.

Andy Thorpe, Managing Director at RT-Infrastructure Services, said:

”We are proud of our record of working together as a business to support the Armed Forces community, be that through policies aimed at our Reservist and veteran employees, donations to military charities, or sharing our commitment to the scheme with our team, our clients and our supply chain.

“We recognise the knowledge, transferable skills and comradery that Veterans and Reservists bring to our company and their contribution to wider society. We are determined to continue to improve the support we provide and increase our wider advocacy for the Armed Forces Community.”

Armed Forces Day will take place on Saturday 24th June and will be hosted by the Cornwall Council in Falmouth. Falmouth will play host to a military parade, flypast and will allow the public to learn more about what the UK’s Armed Forces do.
