As part of the Cambridge Railway Sidings Capacity Upgrade Project, RT Infrastructure Solutions was contracted by Walker Construction to deliver signalling installation works at Cambridge Sidings. These improvements played a key role in a major project aimed at enhancing services for passengers at one of the busiest stations on the rail network. This project involved the construction of new, longer sidings equipped with modern stabling, maintenance, and train wash facilities that will facilitate faster and more frequent train services from the town, through London, and on to the south coast. This initiative is part of the £7 billion Thameslink Programme, which is set to deliver substantial benefits to hundreds of thousands of commuters and other travellers on the Thameslink network.
