RT-Infrastructure Solutions (RT-IS) has successfully completed the delivery of signalling and power works at Rose Hill on behalf of AMCOGiffen.

As part of Network Rail’s cess retention and improvement works at Rose Hill, RT-IS were engaged by AMCOGiffen to deliver all of the key signalling and power works associated with the project.

Works included following Network Rail standard NR/L2/SIG/11201 in order to producing the necessary GRIP 4 and GRIP5 signalling design documentation along with undertaking site signalling correlation works.

Full delivery of all the signalling and power construction activities were also included in the package of works, including the procurement of materials.

During the project there were various scope changes that required design and procurement changes, however by working proactively with the client RT-IS were able to successfully test & commission all the onsite works during a planned 50-hour possession.

Throughout the duration of the programme all GRIP 4—8 deliverables were managed by an RT-IS Signalling Project Engineer. All signalling installation works were installed by in-house RTIS signalling teams who were controlled by a RTIS IRSE licensed signalling supervisor using the relevant installation control sheets and handover to test documentation. The RTIS Tester-in-Charge appointed to the project had sole responsibility of controlling all works that fell within the NR/L2/SIG/30014 standard, along with issuing the final Entry Into Service documentation.

Discussing the works at Rose Hill, RT-IS’s Managing Director Andy Thorpe said:

“We were delighted to be commended by AMCOGiffen for our strong technical ability on this scheme whilst also being highly praised for our efforts and contribution throughout the 12-month project, both in a design, management, supervisory, construction, and test & commissioning capacity.

“The works at Rose Hill are a great example of RT-IS’s expertise in delivering complex signalling and power works on UK rail infrastructure and demonstrate why we are a trusted partner for infrastructure support in the rail industry.”
