RT-IS has supported a range of charities in 2022, donating £250 to a different organisation each month as part of its ‘community fund’ initiative.

Every March, we invite employees to suggest deserving charities, before choosing 12 to support through the fund. This year, we opted to donate to:

  • The Children’s Appeal: Ipswich Hospital
  • The Edward Foundation
  • Outreach Youth
  • Marie Curie
  • St Elizabeth Hospice
  • Alzheimer’s Society
  • British Scoliosis Society
  • Coppafeel
  • Parkinson’s UK
  • British Heart Foundation
  • Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity
  • Magpas Air Ambulance

We aim to support a different selection of charities each year, often focussing on local or lesser-known organisations. 2022’s roster includes The Edward Foundation, which helps bulldogs at risk of abuse, and Outreach Youth, an Ipswich-based charity renowned for its work with young LGBTQ+ people.

In addition to supporting organisations through our RT-IS community fund, we also made a £3000 donation to Help for Heroes, the UK’s leading veterans and armed forces charity. This was part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community, and came after we received the Employee Recognition Scheme’s (ERS) Gold Award in 2021.

Earlier this year, the RT-IS team also held a Macmillan Coffee morning, raising £1000 in aid of people living with cancer. Finally, we rounded off 2022 with our annual food bank collection for Ipswich Homeless.

We would like to thank our employees for their fundraising efforts this year, and look forward to choosing a new selection of community fund charities in March 2023.
