RT Infrastructure Solutions (RTIS) charged into the new year, propelled by sustained growth and significant contract awards spanning multiple disciplines.

Our signalling installation/test and safety critical teams have been diligently engaged in the 24/7 operations of Phase 5 for the Feltham to Wokingham Re-signalling Project.

This collaboration with our esteemed client Global, involves extensive preparation for the main commissioning set for February 2024. In addition to this, we continue to support other key clients such as Alstom, Atkins, Network Rail, Balfour Beatty, DB Cargo, Chiltern Railways, Siemens, Taziker, VolkerFitzpatrick and Murphy with S&T teams on major re-signalling schemes, S&C renewals works, E&P works or faulting/maintenance activities.

January has seen the initiation of various RTIS projects, including our involvement at Canton Depot on behalf of First-Class Safety and Control Ltd. With First Class Safety and Control installing a brand new DPS, RTIS are engaged to deliver all the signalling and E&P elements of the works.

Simultaneously, we’re embarking on the comprehensive scope of the Beckton Depot restart, working closely with Morgan Sindall to deliver the remaining C4P(S), C5(W) and C4P(F) signalling stages. Work will also include new stabling roads, additional tracks, switch and crossings units, platforms, walkways, lighting, and communications.

Further projects have been won at Cambridge South and Stansted with RTIS delivering signalling and cable running/cable testing works on behalf of Murphy. Having worked tirelessly throughout January, RTIS staff nationally worked over 10,500 hours and are now gearing up for an equally dynamic February. With a commitment to meeting the demands of our valued clients, both existing and new, our highly skilled workforce remains dedicated to nationwide project works and labour supply.

Future projects in the pipeline include collaborations with industry leaders such as Alstom, Wabtec, Taziker, Atkins, Amco Giffen, Pod-Trak, Story Rail and Murphys, that will showcase our extensive reach and expertise across various sectors.

In February we will be holding the 1st of four signalling installer courses planned for 2024, where we will introduce approx. 32 new starters to the signalling industry, look out for the February newsletter for updates.
