RT Infrastructure Solutions is pleased to announce the successful test and commissioning of signalling works at Shipley, Guiseley, Menston and Burnley-in-Wharfdale stations in conjunction with Network Rail’s Leeds North West Platform Extension Project. After utilising multiple weekend ROTR possessions to undertake as much signalling enabling & signalling installation prep-works as possible, all stations were commissioned on time, defect-free, over back-to-back weekends in April.
The newly commissioned works will allow the stations to bring into service new platform lengths able to accommodate longer, 6-car (2×3-car) Class 331 trains.
As part of the works package, RT Infrastructure Solutions was also responsible for the installation of 2 new IBJ’s at both Shipley and Menston Stations. These were seamlessly installed and handed back under Network Rail’s Pway standards.
