As part of RT Infrastructure Solution’s Network Rail S&T Lot 13 Front Line Labour Framework, RTIS have provided key signalling personnel over a long term period to Network Rail at the Slough, West Ealing and Paddington depots.
RTIS SMTH team leaders and technicians have been supporting the delivery units to undertake various signalling and faulting maintenance activities to ensure that the signalling assets within these regions are maintained to the highest standards.
Our experienced workforce are equipped with all the necessary calibrated S&T tools and test equipment required to undertake their duties, with all competency management, career development, resource planning, allocation, and on-site auditing all centrally managed through our Head Office team.
To date RTIS has supported Network Rail at these depots for a total of 12,000 site hours (up to Sep 2025) with zero reported accidents or RIDDORS. Maintenance works have been conducted during day and night time hours, working with a large concentration of weekend possessions utilised for key signalling maintenance activities.
As part of our company ethos and to support the Network Rail framework even further, we continue to upskill our workforce to create the next SMTH testers, all undertaken ourselves utilising our in-house S&T training academy. We continue to attract and appoint ex-military personnel, BAME candidates, females, King’s Trust, apprentices, exoffenders, and other under-represented groups into our ever growing workforce.
