RTIS pass ISO 9001:2015 transition audit with flying colours

We are pleased to announce that on the 26th September we successfully passed our BSI audit which is a mandatory pre-requisite for working with our customers in the rail industry. Approval will now remain valid  through continued compliance through an ongoing programme of monitoring and annual audits. By passing the new BSI transition audit, we have been deemed competent in demonstrating that we have a sufficient and suitable management systems in accordance with the new regulations. The ISO9001 transition to the 2015 standards represent major changes to the standards such as:

• ISO9001 new high level structure
• Focus on risk based thinking
• Putting greater emphasis on leadership engagement and commitment
• Addresses supply chain management more effectively
• Helps address organisational risks and opportunities
• Greater emphasis on client focus
• Increased prominence of environmental management within the organisations strategic planning processes
• Enhanced business risk management

The system incorporates non-conformance logging for all aspects including client complaints, supplier issues, environmental, health and safety non-conformances. There is a dedicated HR section to the system for recording all HR information, including training and personal development plans and reviews.

There is a business risk manager included within the system for recording and reviewing risks applicable to the business. All processes, documents and records are stored within the system and review dates are set automatically for action.

Simon Jamieson RTIS CEO said “No business or organisation can be better than the people it employs, but having a management system to guide them certainly helps that business to succeed in delivering a quality service. With that in mind I am very pleased to have received the news that our team at RTIS have achieved certification from BSi to the new ISO 9001 : 2015 Quality Management Standard in a transition from the old with a 100% score and zero NCRs. I am extremely pleased with another excellent achievement.”
