Further successful development training for RTIS

Following on from our development training in June, we have taken further steps to upskill our workforce into the key signalling areas of SWTH, SMTH and Installation disciplines.

Our Signal Works Testing successes in June have seen a further 4 employees trained in MOD 3c who will now be able to work & mentored to undertake correspondance testing on any new signalling installation works. Congratulations go to Simon Brett, Paul Morris, Allan Deal and Dean Bolt, all of whom will come under the professional guidance of RTIS Testing & Commissioning Manager John Marshall. These additional successes furthers our capacity to 10 x Mod 3C and 12 x Mod 5 testers who are multi-skilled to work between installation & testing requirements as and when required by our customers.

Alongside this technical training, we have also progressed a further 6 employees into IRSE roles which have been achieved through the required levels of technical training and practical trackside experience. Congratulations go to the following staff who have achieved progression into the following IRSE licenses categories:

We have also increased the number of SMTH trained staff within our business, by training selected personnel in this highly specialized competence. We see that this development will provide a major support to our ongoing track renewals works, particularly for an increasing workload on Crossrail which effects works at Chadwell Heath, Brentwood and Shenfield stations.
