RT Infrastructure Solutions Win Finsbury Park’s First Recognition Award

In September 2012 RT Infrastructure Solutions Ltd was asked to provide a skilled signalling service to support all of the P-Way and layout changes associated with the Finsbury Park 2A Scheme. Network Rail's priority with the F2A scheme is to improve the bottleneck between Alexander Palace and Finsbury Park, with the bulk of the works featuring around the re-instatement and extension of a disused East platform at Finsbury Park station.

Six months into the scheme, RTIS has been commendably recognised for its commitment to its role and praised for its high levels of service. It has become the recipient of the project’s first and prestigious F2A Alliance Recognition Award. Andy Gallimore, who is RTIS’s signalling representative for the works, was the key factor in this award and the NWR project team made the accolade for the following reasons:

“Andy Gallimore (RTIS) has been recognised on the F2A Project for consistently demonstrating collaborative working.  Andy delivers his work with behaviours fully aligned to the Alliance principles (which include ensuring that actions and decisions are carried out that meet the Alliance objectives), a ‘can do’ attitude and perhaps most importantly of all, all his work is done with a smile on his face. His quotes of “You got to be in it to win it” , “living the dream”, “better to burn out than fade away” and “always a pleasure and never a chore” are stuff of legend and inspiration within the project and a  minor insight  of his positive personal contribution to the wider development of a high performing project team. Andy is a true team player, put together with being a highly competent and respected technician, it provides a powerful mix for all to aspire too.”

Both Peter Webb (NWR F2A Delivery Manager) and Tom Woodhouse (NWR Project Controls Manager LNE) were keen to express how well Andy had performed for the project.
